The WHL playoffs kicked off on Thursday with the loan game being a 6-2 victory for the Brandon Wheat Kings overs the Calgary Hitmen. I was watching from above in the press box and took in the Game 2 as well - a 4-nil shutout victory for the hometown Hitmen.

Scouted players from Brandon:

• Ryan Pulock, D (2013 NHL draft eligible)
• Eric Roy, D  (2013 NHL draft eligible)
• Alessio Bertaggia, F (2nd yr eligible for draft)

The next 3 games will be played in Winnipeg.
